Feasibility/Innovation Grants

Feasibility/Innovation Grants are designed to assist the promoter with researching market demand for a product or service and examining its sustainability. It includes assistance with innovation including specific concultancy requirements, hiring of expertise from third level colleges, private specialists, design, patent costs and prototype development.

The maximum grant payable must not exceed 60% of the investment or €20,000 whichever is lesser. Expenditure may be considered under the following headings;
1. Innovation costs - prototype development, innovative design, research costs, patent costs and third level college consultancy.
2. Own labour research - own labour involved in carrying out research/prototype development.
3. Consultancy costs - design fees, architect, accountant and legal fees.
4. Miscellaneous costs - telephone, mileage, subsistence and overnight costs etc
